Blessed are those who have made good in Tiangge business but their days are numbered.  After learning the source of the largasse of a slain honcho of a well known mayor, (from illegal tiangge collection, one can not help but wonder how much money is being made by other mayors from tiangges

I met a tiangge operator last weekend.  She used to work for SM as  leasing officer and is well versed in organizing entrepreneurs for tiangges.  She went on her own several years back and handles tiangges for SM, Harrison Plaza, has done tiangge at CB mall in Urdaneta.

Her Business is called A2 Business Center Enteprises with offices in Cupang Antipolo City.

Her name is Analiza Iglesia with 9 years of solid experience in mall leasing at SM and Tutuban properties. She is interested to run the Oton properties, and that in Urdaneta.

Wow.  She must be successful and very rich by now.

There are at least 5 projects in the pipeline for tiangges:

1.   2 in Rizal near the about to be constructed SM center

2.  2 in Urdaneta city, a burgeoning crossroad city in Northern Luzon:  one near KFC and the other at Maxs"

3.  One at suburbs of Iloilo city  some 10 km from center and 3 km from the boundary.

Key factors for success:

1.  cr

2.  bright lighting (metal halide, or induction or LED for huge savings)

3.  rope lights or other Christmas lights;

4.  landscaping

5.  events to draw in crowds

6.  nice mix of food stalls and thngs needed by the PM

7.  affordable rent (can be earned by the tiangge owners)

We are currently drawing plans and negotiating for two sites:

one in  major crossroad city in Region I

one in suburbs of MM near a mall being built right now.

We concluded that tiangges are events driven and part of tianggesitas planning is having events inserted through out the year.

Partnerships needed are:    with tiangges organizers,  events organizers, and land owners of idle commercial lots.  We need to connect more with tiangge operators

The tiangges rates are up, up to P700.00 per day because there is an SMB event tonight, November 16, 2013 and the fiesta will be 7 days away.  There will be higantes festival and this will be crowd drawer,  Events and food stalls, drinks are traffic drawer for a tiangge mall operator.  There was a tiangge mall organizer and we are trying to get to him for some of our future sites.
